Why Do Stainless Steel Kitchen Faucets Must Choose 304 Material?

There are many types of  Stainless Steel Kitchen Faucet  , and the more common ones are 200 series, 300 series, and 400 series. The stainless steel classification of professional points is based on crystal structure, including ferritic stainless steel (430, etc.), martensitic stainless steel (410, etc.), austenitic stainless steel (304, etc.).

304 is a common material in stainless steel. It has high temperature resistance, good processing performance and advanced resistance. It is recognized as a kind of direct touch with food. 304 stainless steel is commonly used in the market to indicate the method of 06Cr19Ni10, SUS304, etc., during which 06Cr19Ni10 generally indicates the production of national standard, and SUS 304 indicates the production of Japanese standard. The 304 stainless steel faucets that are now sold online are generally labeled 304 or SUS 304.

The chemical formula of 201 stainless steel is 1Cr17Mn6Ni5. The primary difference between it and 304 is nickel-chromium. 201 is 17 chromium and 5 nickel, while 304 is 19 chromium and 10 nickel. 201 is an industrial material with certain acid resistance and alkali resistance, but its overall performance is far less than that of 304. 201 is mainly used for the manufacture of decorative tubes, industrial tubes and some shallow-drawn products. Therefore, according to the national standard, as well as its own advantages, the use of 304 is indeed the most appropriate.
