How To Avoid The Leakage Of Stainless Steel Faucet

Stainless Steel Faucet will always encounter the phenomenon of tick tick and tick in the process of use, and always leaks. Here is a practical strategy to deal with it:

  1. Water leaks in the gap between the faucet junctions. It may be that the contact area is not tightened. Try tightening the screws.
  2. If the water outlet of the faucet is leaking, the water stop tape may be damaged. Remove the faucet with moving pliers, and rewind a new water-stop tape at the place where the screw is fixed.
  3. If the sealing ring of the faucet is broken, it will also cause water leakage. You need to replace the new sealing ring and use a wrench to unscrew the packing nut. The sealing ring is an "O"-shaped rubber sheet, and some is a string or metal wire wrapped around the valve core under a packing nut. If it is broken, remove it and replace it with a new one, and then tighten the nut. It is better to apply a little petroleum jelly on the thread and nut of the valve core before screwing the nut.
  4. Damage to the shaft gasket inside the faucet can also cause water leakage. Remove the gland of the faucet, take out the worn shaft gasket with a clamp, and replace it with a new one.
  5. If the valve seat is broken, there will be water leakage where the faucet is in contact with the countertop. Of course, you can choose to replace the entire faucet or just replace one valve seat. It is very simple to remove the valve seat, and you can use a wrench. If you cannot remove it, insert a valve seat sleeve that can slide into the appropriate position of the old valve seat and provide a seal. Two types of valve seat rollers or sanders can flatten worn valve seats. Remove the valve core to use the sander, turn it clockwise a few times with appropriate strength, and wipe off the falling metal chips.
