Stainless steel sink surface treatment

It is understood that there are five kinds of surface treatment methods for stainless steel sinks that are currently on the market. They are: matte surface, brushed surface, pearl surface, embossed surface and mirror surface treatment process. And these five different stainless steel sink surface treatment methods have their own advantages and disadvantages. When you choose a stainless steel sink, you can choose the most suitable sink according to the specific environment of the home kitchen.

1. Matte surface

Also called beaded sand surface, it is evenly and quickly twisted into the surface of a stainless steel sink with fine sand grains to form uniform and fine grooves on the surface of the stainless steel sink (it is difficult for human eyes to see), and to improve the surface of the stainless steel sink. Hardness also improves its scratch resistance. The principle is equivalent to shot peening in machining. This kind of treatment generally requires that the wall thickness of the sheet material should not be too thin, and generally the whole-stretched stainless steel sink adopts this method more.

2. Brushed surface

Also called silk surface, it uses a drawing equipment to repeatedly draw on the surface of the stainless steel sink (equivalent to grinding machine processing). Makes the surface to form a subtle trace of silk, and the surface is smooth. Feel and visually have a strong clear power. Because it is drawn directly on the surface of the stainless steel sink, the requirements for the sheet are extremely high. Domestic plate drawing sometimes has fine particles on the surface and affects the appearance. Therefore, most of the commonly used plate material is imported plate.

3. Pearl surface

Some people also called pearl silver surface, matte surface, pearl matte surface and so on. It is made of a surface treated with a chemical electrolyte (it's almost like plating). This kind of surface treatment is the simplest process, low technical content and low production cost in all production. The price of the manufactured product is also lower. At present, over 90% of the country's nearly 2,000 stainless steel sink manufacturers use this process. Many first-tier brands also use this process to seize the low-end market. However, the biggest drawback of this kind of surface is that it is not resistant to scratches, the surface is easy to scratch, and the coating will fall off severely. Therefore, many companies gradually replace this process with other processes.

4. Embossed surface

It is to emboss a regular pattern on the surface of the stainless steel sink or directly use embossed plate to suppress (equivalent to the pattern plate used on the pedestrian bridge on the road), and then use the pearl surface treatment method for surface treatment. The visual effect of the embossed surface is also good, but in the kitchen long-term fume will be fouled in the pattern, it is difficult to clean.

5. Mirror

The surface of the stainless steel sink is repeatedly polished to form a mirror-like surface. This kind of processing does not apply to the average family. It is easy to form scratches during use.
